From its very beginnings in 1960 (Novara, Italy), the FIMA Carlo Frattini company has fostered a dynamic approach to tap making with a keen emphasis on design, innovation and ‘doing things differently’. Recent collaborations with a team of external designers such as Meneghello Paolelli, Giuseppe Bavuso and Hans Thyge have translated FIMA’s precision engineering and master-plating techniques into a series of unique and eye-catching designs. Lines such as Fluid, Eclipse and Textures are not only testimony to the company’s manufacturing expertise but to its determination to adapt to an ever-changing market. An increased focus on export – with particular success in Germany and Scandinavia – has cemented a ‘factory-hub’ philosophy where direct deliveries from Italy ensure greater flexibility, compactness of structure and market integration.
